In 2005, an Osaka crew led by Shinpei Ueno brought Japanese skateboarding’s nightlife art to light. Over the course of his travels and 15 years creating the underground video series Lenz, he helped spread the fast style and explorations of color and setting that are now hallmarks of the local scene—and of TIGHTBOOTH®︎’s aesthetic. Born of necessity, the Nike SB x TIGHTBOOTH®︎ Dunk Low Pro draws inspiration from the freedom of the streets at night. Textured overlays emulate the metal grates found and used during night sessions. Reflective Swoosh panels, a co-branded tongue, and subtle touches of Safety Orange bring the spirit and synergy of TIGHTBOOTH®︎’s visual identity to the iconic Dunk.
