Nike SB Dunk Low PRM Phillies Blue
Major League Baseball Opening Day is at risk of being delayed due to the ongoing lockout, but hopefully the billionaire franchise owners and millionaire athletes who hit balls with bats can get over their paralyzing fear of not being as rich as they’d like and, you know, play the game. It looks like Nike SB has a special MLB Dunks pack in the works for 2022, and while only two colorways have been revealed, there seems to be a focus on rivalries. As you know, their NL East rivals will have their own models in the form of the SB Dunk High Mets, but they’ll be paired with this SB Dunk Low inspired by the Philadelphia Phillies and their retro uniform colors, which are admittedly beautiful. The upper features an all-over powder blue shade worn by the Phillies from 1973 to 1988, with brown details on the Swoosh, heel, and tongue logo. It also appears in the midsole, which also features a bubblegum-pink stain on the heel. The true mark of the City of Brotherly Love is the Liberty Bell emblem inside the tongue, which lights up and rings when Bryce Harper or another Phillies slugger hits a home run. The other tongue features the city’s signature food—the Philly cheesesteak.
